The Spirit Series

 Shadows

 I was camping with my family and  it was dark. We could hear the cricket's and animals. I stayed in the trailer with my little sister Sally. I read Sally her favorite story 'Humpty Dumpty' As she fell asleep with my mother and father I just stared deep as I can into the woods.  I saw a shadow sitting on the rocks.

 I decided to go sit with the person sitting on the rock. "Can I chill here for a bit?" I asked the person. He or she just nodded. "So, whats your name?" I asked the person. "Charlie..." he replied. "Cool.. I'm Jason.." I responded. "So, what are you doing here alone in the woods, If you don't mind is I ask?" I questioned. "I'm just letting go of my life and hanging loose." Charlie responded. "Ha ha.. Same here.." I agreed. Charlie smiled. "Well see you in the morning if you come by again." I said. "Okay." he smiled and went off.

 The next day I woke up and saw that Charlie was in the same spot. I just laughed in a low voice so I wouldn't wake anyone up. I saw that my dad was cooking some fish we caught the other day. "Dad, do you want to meet a friend that I met the other day.." I mumbled. "Uh, sure?" my dad answered unsure. "Hey Charlie" I whispered, "Wanna meet my dad?" Charlie just nodded and stood next to me. "Dad meet Charlie. Dad Charlie, Charlie Dad." I told them. "Jason.. Who am I seeing?" he asked. "Charlie. Don't you see him? He is right next to me." I explained. "Is this another one of your jokes?" my dad laughed.

 I told Charlie if he wants to be known he was to meet people, not stay in the woods. "Don't you understand?! I was killed here. So, I must stay!" he shouted with fury in his eye's. I asked "If your a spirit how come I can see and touch you?" He just sat on the rock silent. I told him "If I can't bring you to the people, ill bring them to you." Me and Charlie argued for a few minutes then I punched him and walked away with so much anger.

  Charlie got up and grabbed me firmly. He was breathing like he just got out a fight. This time it was just starting. He dragged me into the woods, but now I couldn't escape from his hands. He knew everything I was gonna do and he didn't say a word. I had my palm bawled up in a fist. I did an upper cut, he dodged my hit and punched me in the gut. He knew exactly what I was gonna say. Before I could say a word he choked me.

  Everything just hit me in the face. Everything he told me 'I'm just letting go of my life and hanging loose.' He IS dead. Everything was racing through my mind. I heard my dad yelling my name "Jason? Jason! Jason!" Charlie chuckled and faded away. All of a sudden the yelling stopped. "Dad!" I shouted.  It was still silent.

 I ran to see if my dad was okay. He was gone. I checked if my mom and Sally was okay, but the only person left was Sally. I knelled down to her size. "Sally, are you okay? What happened?" I asked. She started laughing, she looked up and I saw in the eye's Charlie took her body. I backed away. I was getting to run, until I heard Sally's voice screaming help. I saw her spirit just floating. I saw that she was terrified. I thought 'I have to help her.. But how?'
